When you correct a TradesQuote AI estimate, you can now record the reason for the change. That reason is stored alongside the correction event and fed back into the AI context for future estimates on similar jobs.
Capturing the Reason
A reason textarea appears in the estimate editor whenever you submit a correction. The field is optional — you can correct without a reason — but adding one helps the system understand what the AI missed.
How It Improves Future Estimates
Reasons are embedded alongside correction details and surfaced to the AI estimator as retrieval-augmented context when a similar job comes in. Over time, patterns in your corrections teach TradesQuote how your business prices specific scopes of work.
Corrections Page
The corrections history page now shows the recorded reason on each correction card, so you can review past corrections at a glance without opening the full estimate.
